SABIC approves UltraAnalytix® inspection

May 23, 2018

UTComp’s UltraAnalytix® method for non-destructive, non-intrusive evaluation of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) industrial assets has been approved for use by all SABIC facilities and affiliates.

UTComp, AXIS Inspection and SABIC held an FRP technology education day in Jubail, Saudi Arabia May 6, to share the condition assessment technique, which has been approved by SABIC ATC, with engineers from all SABIC affiliates.

This approval provides SABIC with an unprecedented amount of information about their composites for a robust asset management system and proactive service-life forecasting.

SABIC is one of the world’s largest petrochemical companies with operations in more than 50 countries.
